This was one of the best eating experiences we had on our trip to Vietnam. We booked a cooking class first of all, and were looked after extremely well by Linh – she took us to the market and told us all about the bewildering variety of foods there – and then she taught us, with great patience and considerable skill and knowledge, how to cook four exceptionally tasty dishes. After that, we ate them! Unfortunately we were in a hurry and had to take a taxi to the airport, so we were unable to spend more time savouring their deliciousness. But we can say with confidence that the Lighthouse restaurant is a highly recommendable establishment, and the cooking school they run is an absolute delight. The views of Hoi An from the restaurant are stunning too.
